Alongside the circular economy, sustainable chemistry and pharmaceuticals are among the most important issues of the future - also in the context of sustainable development.

In order to take advantage of the associated opportunities in a targeted manner, a systematic view of the life cycle of all products and involved substances and processes is required in addition to a detailed understanding of the various concepts and the international context - from the raw material to the fate of the marketed product after use, including possible alternatives.

Is it really green or even sustainable?

Many fabrics, production processes and products claim to be green or even sustainable. In doing so, there is a danger of green-washing. A precise evaluation is therefore necessary to avoid falling into this trap. Because once a company or product has the reputation of not being green or sustainable, but only supposedly so, a great deal of trust is lost among customers and consumers, which then has to be painstakingly rebuilt over a period of years.

In the future, it will be just as important to understand in advance to what extent products and activities fit the Circular Economy in order to be successful on the market in the long term.
